Civil Court of Rome (judge Cricenti), order 9.01.2014

 In a case brought by Nuovo Imaie – an Italian collecting society based in Rome – against Itsright and SCF – a phonograms producers’ collecting society - the Civil Court of Rome states that since 2012 the Italian market of collective management of neighbouring rights has been liberalized. Artists and phonograms producers are free to choose their favourite collecting society.
