ITALIAN ANTITRUST AUTHORITY CONFIRMS REMEDIES TO NUOVO IMAIE’S ANTI-COMPETITIVE PRACTICES.

ITSRIGHT welcomes the Antitrust Authority pro-competitive decision in the neighbouring rights market.
The Competition Authority has closed the proceedings opened in 2016 against Nuovo Imaie for abusive conducts.

After a long investigation, the Authority has accepted the commitments that now Nuovo Imaie will have to implement in order to guarantee an effective fair competitive balance in the neighbouring rights market.

International agreements are concerned too: collective management organisations’ deals may now be terminated with a 30 days notice. Future deals’ duration will not go beyond one-year; no automatic renewals permitted.
