ITSRIGHT at MMW at the panel organized by PIRAMES: international protection, innovation, and collaboration among collecting societies at the core of our contribution

Last night we took part in the panel “Italian Music in the Global Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities”, organized by Pirames International during Milano Music Week.
During the discussion, Gianluigi Chiodaroli, President of ITSRIGHT, emphasized the central role of collective management organizations in enhancing national repertoires and building a truly global framework for neighbouring rights protection. In this context, ITSRIGHT reaffirms its international leadership, supported by more than 50 reciprocity agreements with collective management organizations (CMOs) across the world, as well as its membership in SCAPR - the global network uniting neighbouring rights societies active in over 40 countries. This solid network enables ITSRIGHT to strengthen the protection of Italian artists and producers in international markets, ensuring an increasingly efficient, transparent, and integrated management of their neighbouring rights and related royalties. Chiodaroli highlighted how international cooperation among CMOs has become essential in the face of emerging challenges and opportunities shaping the evolution of the sector, with the shared goal of developing value models based on innovation, rights, and the long-term sustainability of the entire creative ecosystem.
